Leg Pain

This can occur from injury or as referred pain from the back and can occur with or without disturbance to sensation (such as tingling or numbness) or muscle power. Leg pain is often wrongly attributed to movement issues which affect areas such as the feet, shins, knees, thighs, groin and hips.

Some examples of the problems, which are often wrongly diagnosed, include plantar fasciitis (foot or heel pain), heel spurs, shin splints, patella tendonitis (inflammation in the tendon below the kneecap), torn meniscus (cartilage in the knee) and groin strain.

This can arise from injury or overuse and can be referred from the neck, shoulder or upper back. It can affect the hands, wrists, forearms, elbows, upper arms and shoulders.

Labels given to arm pain include repetitive strain injury, tennis elbow, golfer's elbow, rotator cuff injury (damage to the rotator tendons in the shoulder), shoulder impingement (compression of tissues between the shoulder and shoulder blade), bursitis (inflammation of sacks that cushion tendons and bones) and tendonitis (inflammation of tendons which connect muscle to bone).
